OUR MISSION
Eison Technology Consulting is a small business itself, geared toward helping other small businesses make the most of existing and emerging technologies to improve work environment, increase efficiency, and save money and time. Often, small businesses make their technology plans and purchases with very little reliable information and forethought, because they feel they must fill an immediate need.
ETC’s mission is to provide accurate information, thorough planning, and knowledgeable services so that our customers don’t have to face the dilemma of a poor IT decision.
PCs & SERVERS
Most small businesses and home users have neither the time nor resources to hire an in-house IT “expert”, leaving them vulnerable to computer virus outbreaks, data loss, and confusing moments when trying to purchase or install new software or hardware.
ETC has experience with major manufacturers of PC and server hardware, as well as many desktop and server operating systems: Windows XP/Vista/7, Ubuntu and Red Hat Linux, and FreeBSD. We’re also well-versed in many desktop applications, office suites, and peripherals. Because of our focus on the budgets of small businesses, ETC can be creative with solutions that prove that spending more doesn’t always equal getting more.
NETWORKING
In many business environments, sharing resources like printers, common files, and high-speed internet access are a must. ETC has the knowledge and experience to make that need a reality.
In addition, ETC understands that internet connectivity can be one of small business’ greatest tools, so we’re there to help with many different internetwork/internet connection types (cable, DSL, Metro-E, MPLS, cellular), inter-office connections (wired, wireless, Bluetooth), and the hardware to connect it all (routers, switches, WLAN).
What really sets ETC apart, though, is that we also understand how to protect your network, using the latest firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.
WEB DESIGN
In recent years, an “internet presence” has become to small business what an ad in the Yellow Pages once was: a necessity. ETC will design a functional, informative, and attractive website your customers can use to find your location and contact information quickly, in a manner that suits your desire to put your best foot forward.
Not too many small businesses have the budget to pay a full-time web developer to create and manage a web presence and ETC understands that very well. We structure our web design around creating sites that can be built with easily publishable content in mind, so that once the site is up and running, your own staff can add new content themselves, without needing to know a bit of HTML.
